20% off Qantas/Jetstar Classic Award Flights to Bali

20

Definitely no where near as good as Jetstar's recent sales, however if you missed out, or have some spare points lying around and don't mind paying some taxes, the date range is rather large so you should be able to secure a small bargain.

Example:

Darwin - Bali return: 15,360 points + $203 taxes
Adelaide - Bali return: 23,040 points + $199 taxes
Perth - Bali return: 23,040 points + $192 taxes
Melbourne - Bal return: 32,000 points + $335 taxes
Sydney - Bali return: 32,000 points + $350 taxes
Brisbane - Bali return: 32,000 points + $351 taxes

All fares include 20kg checked luggage.

To experience Bali for 20% less Qantas Points, book a new eligible* Economy Classic Award flight with a JQ flight number on your ticket between Australia and Bali (Denpasar).

Simply select the 'Search Qantas & Partner Classic Awards' option on qantas.com and your 20% discount will be applied where the full itinerary only contains Jetstar (JQ) flights.

Note: the 20% discount does not apply to the applicable taxes, fees and carrier charges.

For 3 days only you can use 20% fewer Qantas Points for eligible Economy Jetstar Classic Awards* Don't miss out! This offer is valid when you make a new booking on eligible flights between 12 November 2014 and 15 November 2014 for travel between 12 November 2014 and 31 August 2015.

Lovely of you to post this 'deal' but I struggle to see how anyone could extract any value from this promotion travelling in economy class. The taxes basically mean you're throwing your points away, given there are specials around for less than the tax component. And with up to 5 airlines flying direct to DPS, chances are you'll pick up a cheaper fare than this.

    • And this is the very reason I ditched my Qantas FF linked credit card and replaced by another one linked to Velocity. Same dollar to points ratio but when it comes to redeeming points for flights, I am much better off. Fees and Taxes in Qantas Awards are simply pathetic.

    • Yeah, they are definitely a killer.

They're not tooooooo bad from Adelaide though.

If you take March as an example, Adelaide - Bali on Jetstar is $443 (Including 20kg checked luggage) where as this is half that price with some points and 20kg checked luggage.

Would suit the low-budget traveler who might still have 25k points left in their account from their ANZ Frequent Flyer card redemption, and only $200 in the bank right now to book the flights. I know I'm clutching at straws there, but I'm sure that person is somewhere here, ready to book this flight!

Such terrible value. I'm in Bris. With 32000 points I'd rather cash them in for $210 worth of gift cards and book with Virgin for $550. Slighty cheaper overall, flys direct and has the additional bonus of not being Jetstar.

    • I'll pay you $300 for those 30,000 points, or a cent each for any amount you have. You can transfer in lots of 5000, up to 100,000 in one transaction. Four transfers to family members in one year. Don't buy gift cards.

    • I would also pay you cash if you have any points available!

  • Best use of this would be in peak periods (holidays/long weekends) when there are no good prices available on low cost carriers.
