I wonder if you can pay for this with a 12 dollar note?

  • +6

it is too risky to use a potentially fake battery.
i dont trust aliexpresss as i am chinese.

    • +2

I am on the same boat with you. I dont trust Alicrap after got cheated a few times. Doggy people there.

      • -3

        I knew it boat people…

        • -2

Nice man, stereotyping chinese people with boat people. I hope you feel proud of yourself you Mr Dasher86. Lol are you 5?

        • +1

can u tell what the boat people is? curious. implying boat people not on the same level (maybe lower than) as some chinese.

        • @18:
I mentioned boat people you associated it with Chinese people.
          Re read it.

        • nvm…am pointing at 18 btw. previous question not for u dasher

        • +1

@brongz: Now you know why Tony Abbott wants to stop the boats at all costs.

Price too good to be true?

    • Yeah I'm trying to weigh up the pros and cons… :)

      • -2

OP said that you could get a refund if it turns out to be fake. What's the worst that could happen? (:

        • in each page you will find

          Buyer Protection
Full Refund if you don't receive your order
Refund or Keep items not as described

        • @msmhw:

Refund or Keep items not as described

It is only a partial refund if you keep the item.

As it could be very dangerous - one would not want to use it.

The cost of returning it for a full refund is prohibitive.

        • how do you prove its fake

        • +1

          @furythree:

how do you prove its fake

I don't know about proof, but just for you to know if it is a counterfeit. - other than opening it up - the LED holes are smaller and the plastic inside the USB ports is not white.

Pros: Its an original and a great bargain
Cons: The first time you charge it, it explodes in your face making you unidentifiable to your loved ones then proceeds to set fire to your house destroying all of your belongings

        • +13

Yeah, but you might save $8…

        • a big humongous MIGHT:p

    • +1

kind of agree but if you consider the official price is around $12.5 it should be around this price.

  • +1

The cable in the picture is different to the one that the genuine ones ship with (I just got mine today)
Is it an extra or a sign?

  • surely this can't be genuine one…it's aliexpress you're talking about mate…

there were a lot of negative feedback from this seller regarding the power bank.
    http://www.aliexpress.com/store/feedback-score/921948.html#r…

  • They seem to be acting as agent for a lot of different sellers scrolling through there was one for $us10.92. All claim to be original.

  • +1

Considering these use 4x 18650 batteries, the cheapest from lg/samsung/sanyo will run about $5 each. These are probably clones using inflated trustfire batteries.

    • Not sure this it genuine or not but actually I got the genuine Xiaomi powerbank with their official price for ¥69 when I was in China which is definitely lower than $20. Works great till now.

  • 3:55pm. I find the order wont complete to Australia. On clicking "Place Order" it gives:

"This product can't be shipped to the selected country.

Sorry, nothing is available to order now."

    for item

"Original xiaomi Power Bank 10400mAh Portable Charger Powerbank External Battery Pack Charger for xiaomi iphone Samsung HTC"

"The following products are not available now."

Parents bought two in Malaysia and both are fakes.

    Am very skeptical on price

  • just checked xiaomi website, there is a new power bank with 16000mAh started to sell for 99 rmb on tmall.

    • Can I have a link?

      • Just checked out the 16000mah one. looks great!! Might even hold off until I can get that one instead of the 10400mah one.

I was in Paddy's Markets Sydney very recently. I was at the stand of an independent seller of mobile phone accessories. Only one stand - other sellers are part of just two businesses. Anyway, the girl was charging some of these battery packs. One exploded. She had to call security to dispose of it. She also called her boss. I examined the device and compared it to others she had on sale. The exploded one had different sized holes for the LEDs. It also had a slightly different colour inside the USB port.

    • holy mackeral. It exploded when people were around? How did you manage to examine it?

      • cool badly written and unhelpful story bro.

I am sorry about that, but doing this from an iPhone. Was on a train to Central at the time. Now in Broadway shopping Center, and my eyesight is not so good. I do better on iPad or a PC.

After the smoke cleared, and while waiting for security. Terrible smell though. Also, she had several of the same item. Some were fakes and some must have been genuine.

    Edit
Also, security guy left to go get a bin to put it in. He did not want to handle it.

There was only me and the girl there. Just before closing time. Turns out she was a student doing part time work for the stall owner.

sir you're a good detective and brilliant as a story teller. a politician perhaps?

  • Fake?

  • +1

    Fake?

    Yes.

"Came faulty goods. The battery heats up and does not charge any devices. In general full marriage. And the battery is seemingly not designed for such power as specified by the seller. Only part of the money returned."

"The Quality of the Power bank was so poor and was not equivalent to 10400 mah instead i feel its just less than 2000 mah Battery. Quality Issue was reported to the Seller but the Seller asked for the Photos of the Power Bank which i feel a stupid question because i never complain about the Damage. I complain about the Quality which didn't met the Description and also cannot be captured using the Camera. This Item not worth for even US $ 3.00. Waste of Money and Energy."

"These are the fake Xiaomi Powerbanks. Do not buy. Seller is a cheat."

"Seller is a cheat. Do not buy anything from him as he sells fake products. XI Powerbanks he sent me were fake. All 10 of them fake."
