We've recently implemented some changes to the way we record and display store associations, and as of today, users can subscribe to competitions for specific stores.
Subscribing to Store Competitions
To get an email notification whenever a new competition is posted for a store, go to the store's competitions page and click on the subscribe button. For example, for coles, go to

Store Associations
We now record store associations if you have ever clicked on 'I am a store representative' or 'I am associated with this store' checkboxes in deals, comps or forums or their comments. These associations are displayed when you hover on 'My Account'. By default, a checked checkbox will mark you as 'Associated' in the system. You can however edit all your roles under one page by hovering on 'My Account', then selecting 'Store Associations'.
Roles and their descriptions
- Associated - you are associated with someone who works there and owns the business (friend, family member etc)
- Employee - you work there but you're not part of sales & marketing nor do you represent the company
- Product Representative - you don't work for the store however you have some ownership of the product or brand. e.g. distributor, author of book
- 3rd Party Marketing - you work for a company hired by the store to promote their products
- Official Marketing - you are part of sales & marketing/advertising of the store itself
- Official Store Representative - you represent the company and have authority to, say, make or withdraw offers
and speak on behalf of the company.
The Associated and Employee roles will be hidden on your public user profile. The other roles will be displayed.
Users can 'upgrade' themselves to any of these roles except official Store Representative, which needs a TWAM so that we can verify that you are authorised.
When you make new posts, the store rep checkbox will be automatically checked if you are associated with the store in any way.
If you have accidentally clicked on the store representative/association checkbox while commenting and you're not really associated, you can attempt to uncheck the checkbox immediately if you are still able to edit the comment. If that is your only association to date, the system will remove you as an associate. If that fails, please contact a moderator with the details and we will clear it for you.
There will be a few more cosmetic changes on the way but that's the gist of it.
