I just turned down EasyMeal:
Says on the phone: "Just so you know we only call people who have completed an online survey requesting more information."
Yes I did request information on convenient meal offer, half-cooked and home deliverred, so that I can heat them in macrowave and done. But I don't want to pay for it with credit card on the phone (am I correct? it is a dangerous thing to do in China and I asusme so here too), and the marketing company on the phone doesn't want me to do it online, citing the $50 online membership barrier. Their phone offer was really cheap, $80 for a fortnight of delivery, they say it's the 100-meal bulk price and further half-down by free membership. I turned them down anyway on the concern of their integrity.
Such $50 membership is not for profit but marketing purpose; usually there is no real value in the membership. I googled and find liteneasy.com.au their competitor. Problem being they always assume that I want to lose weight - it's an aussie-rooted problem that doesn't apply to us busy new immigrants. (The same in buying milk, it's so difficult to buy non-"low-fat" milk in Aussie - I am rather fit to start with).
Lite'n'easy offer is $105 for 7 days (I chose the biggest 1800-cal option), much more expensive than easymeals phone sales, but maybe this is the price such services should be.
Any advice? If I can't find a 3rd competitor I will buy this lite'n'easy meal later this day, thinking I did my homework. Thanks.
In my opinion paying by credit card over the phone is safer than paying by credit card online.
