    Image of toothbrush up close:

I doubt it is Australian market stock; looks like an import.

    Not positive / Not negative.

hang on, the images you got is from onsales.com.au . Any relation between onsales & catchoftheday?
The toothbrush look very similar, but the package I found they are slightly different.

    • man the people at onsales.com.au are really good at ripping people off. The toothbrush is 3,000VND = 20 cents. 14 of them = $2.8. And they sale for 19.95, still claim it's amazing deal. Don't tell us that the shipping from Vietnam cost $17 for 14 toothbrush.

God plz send all of them to hell … that place is where they should belong to.

does anybody know if they are soft/medium/hard? i sent them an email asking but they haven't replied yet.

    • +1

I also would like to know. Hard and soft are not good for me. If you get reply let us know here, please.
      Cheers.

just to let everyone know, you should only buy soft toothbrushes. i know your teeth dont feel as 'clean' but medium and hard toothbrushes are too abrasive.

    • Hard is good if you're a weak girl like me and you don't push the toothbrush hard enough against your teeth. ^___^

    • +2

Absolutely, and hard bristles can "traumatize" gums, which contributes to gum recession, then tooth sensitivity, or so I'm told by my dentist! ;)

      • lol. lenneth you shouldnt be pushing hard at all. the trick is small, circular ,GENTLE movements. plaque is soft and can be removed easily. as long as you cover every surface you'll be fine.

and yes Stewballs your dentist has told you the absolute truth. also theres no going back once gums receed.

        • Thanks for those health tips!

    Vietnamese text.

    Top left corner:

    Soft

    Along lower right edge:

Number 1 brand used by dentists

    Along upper right edge:

Brush head cleans teeth and mouth (gums?)

I'm sure some of the advertising appeal has been lost in translation.

    • Thanks for the info, helps us non Vietnamese speaking peeps. :)

identical item that sells at reject shops and go-los. lame

    • +1

For $1 to $2 per item. What's your point?

  • +6

Lol funny how the picture included the actual price of each unit. 3000 VND = ~20cent. So the actual price for this pack is: $1.80 AUD. Better hide the price next time :)

    • lol, and to think I was tempted!

    • It's still better than $5 for one at Coles.

      • +1

Toothbrushes are a rip off in Australia. that price in vietnam is probably closest to its real value. the price of toothbrushes in Aust is right up there with shoes and electrical cords and accessories for the highest margin goods.

        • I remember doing a study on super market pricing and high margins goods. Believe it or not the highest margins were in nappies and followed by toothbrushes!

    • Don't forget, that's RRP! ;)

sif post todays crap of the day

Ive seen these in their dailydeals shop on Dandenong road. Most of them were half opened and covered with dust.
    Not a great deal.

  • Yeah, got a bunch of these from the Roni's nearby. Rather cheapo toothbrushes. -wry-

  • If I want this, I'll go to the Reject Shop. No deal.

  • Ahhh crap I just bought some (2X actually), I thought they were the real deal, oh well good for the kids lol.

    • Don't worry, it's actually a pretty good deal. Sure they're ridiculously marked up but assuming you get soft brushes (I did last time I bought Colgate 360s) then you've done well.

Really, short of going to Vietnam, can anyone tell me how to get them for $2 a pack?

These are good for visitors/kids like you mentioned.

  • CRAP!!!

Tie them all together with rubber bands and you can clean your teeth in 10 seconds! ;-)

One on each finger, with one spare finger left over for important morning scratching.

Lol, you can make a movie, I'm sure Tim Burton would even be happy to help out on "Edward Toothbrush-hands"! ;)

I personally thought it was a decent deal (..and I currently still do), given that Woolies is selling a 3-pack Colgate toothbrush for $7.89 in the latest WA catalogue. Whilst it is true that it may be cheaper overseas (eg. Vietnam), but if we aren't comparing apples to apples.

  • My local discount store sells 4 Asian Colgate toothbrushes for $2. That means for $8, you get 16 brushes, not 9 as COTD are giving… and the local discount store still makes a healthy profit because as others have said, these sell at supermarkets in Asia for 20c each …

    • Awesome! Does your local supermarket ship them to anywhere in Australia for $8 too?

Because I don't have time to track down some obscure store when I need a toothbrush. I hardly have time to go shopping anywhere else apart from Woolies. So delivery to the door = win.
