Picked up my Lumia 530 from Woolies this arvo (got a rain check last week)… great little phone!!!
Now looking for suggestions on an SD card… What's a decent card that you could pair with this particular phone? Does the class of card really make much of a difference for how the OS access apps which have been installed on it?
Also, any good SD card deals running or recommendations where to buy with reasonably quick delivery?
Thanks cheesecactus - no real requirement for video as the phone is for my son to upgrade from my old Lumia 800 which is stuck on WP7.
He'll be more interested in games, music and checking his xbox live messages so it doesn't have to be massive capacity for video recording or photo storage.
Oh yeah, forgot about installing apps….. definitely get a class 10 card then
bought a SanDisk 16GB Extreme from ebay…. whether it's genuine or not remains to be seen but for less than $20 as long as it works it should be OK I guess :)
One thing to note, and I realise that you've already bought a card and everything, is that the locked 530 is a slightly different model to the unlocked version.
With the locked version, expandable memory is only up to 32gb.
The unlocked version can take up to 128gb.
Class 10 if youre going to record video onto it. Otherwise…. doesn't really matter. Go for whatever capacity you need and get the cheapest you can find.
