    Sure it is. It's like mobile phone handsets, they're free so long as your fulfill the contract. We had to put something in to stop people signing up, getting the free drive, and requesting a cancellation/refund a week later.

    I was reserving my vote until I saw how you handled my observation, giving you time to correct your title to more honestly reflect the deal. After reading your response, it's a neg. Just because mobile phones are advertised in such a way does not make it the right way.

      My apologies Megan. We are trying to make the offer as transparent as possible. We already offer 50% off coupons now, but we're adding the USB drive as a "bonus" freebie over the next 45 hours. Also we don't discount "Value" plans and on the Value 1 plan at $24.95 for the year it would well and truly be a completely free USB drive. :)

  I'm on IX Web Hosting's Expert Plan that is about to expire. Renewal cost is $142 US for 2 years (it was US$90 something last 2 years). Is is worth switching to this offer? How do other people evaluate plans? Do you switch every year/2 years to take advantage of new business discounts? The amounts are so small that it doesn't seem to be worth my time switching every so often.

  PS: I don't care about the flash drive.
