      As well as IAP.
      I just played for a bit and there's a decent amount of rubber banding going on as well. The nitro has no real effect. Press it and despite "speeding up", the CPU cars stay right behind. Try using it to catch up to the car in front ? Nope, you "speed up" and don't gain any ground.

      So, despite being a paid game, it seems as though it's a hard grind or P2W if you're the impatient type, to get anywhere. Which is a pity, the game looks fantastic, and the controls are ok.

        agree… game is only ok (and I used to love my Ridge Racer on the original PS)… but free is free irrespective of quality and IAP (which exist even if you paid for the game)….

        You buy in game tokens to upgrade your car, buy new cars, body kits and boosters (nitrous tanks, collision decrease, slipstream boosters). Everything is rather expensive, and the upgrade points don't come that quick.

        Oh, and when you buy something, you're then made to wait time to actually use it. I just upgraded an engine, and it's going to make me wait 12 minutes. Or I can get them now for an additional cost. Yay….
