Hi All. I've got 2 9kg gas botttles to refill. Haven't refilled in ages. Anyone know what the prices are and where to refill? I'm out west near Taylors Lakes.

I can't help with this one but have a question - can you trade in an empty bottle for cash anywhere? Just got given a second bottle and don't want him hanging round empty too long…

Generally its around 20-23 these days, though there will be some who are cheaper. I remember my local being $19.99 for YEARS (they are now $23) but if I was prepared to drive 20km a BP did it for $12, so I'd make the effort to go out there. One day they changed and now it's about $25 :/
I did my first swap-n-go the other day as my old bottle was 10yrs old, rusty and nasty looking. New bottle is only 8.5KG, not sure what difference that translates to in usable gas but I'm sure I have been short changed slightly.
We had a Rays Outdoors open nearby once and they had free gas fills all Sunday. I had 3 x 9KG bottles at the time and took them all. Those 3 bottles lasted me over 12 months, happy days :)
The moral of the story, keep your eyes open, or simply look for signs as you drive past servos like someone mentioned.

Bunnings and Rays seem to be better value here (sunshine coast).

Okay I find that places that fill the old fashioned way are much cheaper. And you only pay for what you use. In particular those independent service stations that have boxes of detergent and toilet paper out the front. Drive by a few of them and you will see one with a sign out the front, refills for $17 or so.
If you insist on bottle swap I think Bunnings is generally cheaper.
