  • Is there any catch with this, do I need a US IP to download and play and what is difference between uPlay and Steam?

    • uPlay is Ubisoft's DRM and store/multiplayer/social platform which is required to play Ubisoft games, it is very similar to steam.

      • Udon'tPlay*

It typically has problems for a few days at release (E.G. The infamous WatchDogs release week). But all these big titles always do, coz they can't wait to get them out the door. But then again, what doesn't.
uPlay is just Ubisoft Steam, as Origin is EA Steam. There's no real difference, as long as you don't want games from different companies.

  • No catch, you just require uPlay to play (it's similar to Steam). No issues, free install.

  • Is this for PC or PS4 or XB1 ?

    • PC

Im wondering if this a steam version (as in the key they give you)

    • How many times does this deal (ans the comments) mention uPlay and how many times does it mention Steam?

      • -1

I think thats a little bit rude!!!

I understand what UPlay is and how its different to steam, but I want this game on my Steam account!!!!

What is there not to understand?

The fact that this is quite clearly a uPlay key and uPlay is not Steam, therefore this is not a valid Steam key.

  • Looking forward to this game; if it's even 2/3 as good as Far Cry 3 that's more than good enough for me.

  • hmm I think I will wait till its out….

That's nearly $54 AUD. Not a great bargain really. 10 years ago, it would have been an amazing price for any PC game, but today the prices drop so quickly that paying any more than $40 or so for a game makes little sense.

    • GMG is currently listed at $59.99 and they had a 23% off that. But they can do better. GMG are famous for day 1 AAA kick Ass Games for $30.

      • Indeed - $46.20 after discount. Is GMG in USD? If so, same deal.

    • Yep, especially since you can't resell PC games. And as mentioned above, watch out for preorders, especially from ubisoft who are known to never fix their buggy games.

Advanced Warning. I purchased a digital deluxe edition of Assassins Creed 3 several years ago from a cd key website and redeemed it on my account. The game was supposed to come with a season pass but whilst the game worked, the season pass code would not work due to region restrictions that are not advertised. Ubisoft refused to provide the content (or a refund) despite contacting them many times and even acknowledging that the season pass was a valid key and had not been redeemed. In the end it took me 4 weeks to get a refund and it ended up being the cd-key store that refunded me out of good will. So be careful when buying Ubisoft products from CD Keys stores. Make sure that you know which region your code comes from. I for one have never bought another Ubisoft PC game since this occurred.
