Sennheiser HD201 Headphones for $37 Via Harvey Norman ($32 with $5 off Email Voucher)

30

Harvey Norman sells the Sennheiser HD201 Headphones instore for $49.95 (RRP), as do most bricks and mortar stores, but online they sell them for $37. With their $5 off email voucher (http://www.harveynorman.com.au/email-signup) it brings them down to $32 with free instore pickup.

These headphones get good reviews (see http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Lightweight-Over-Ear-Binaur…). The consensus is that they are quite durable and produce good sounds for the low price point.

  • i know we make fun of HN by calling them Hardly Normal but the title should say Harvey Norman not Harvey Normal!

Catch of the day had these for like $20 acouple months ago.

    • 1-Day.com had them for $14.99 + shipping a couple of years back, ended up being $17.99 each for two, shipped.

FWIW, mine are still powering on…highly recommended at the ~$20-25 price point, but TBH I wouldn't go much higher! :)

The sound quality on these headphones are really good especially if you're not a huge fan of bass like I am.

The down sides is that it has a ridiculously long cable and the ear pads are of poor quality which flakes over time. In addition, the construction feels cheap but that's to be expected given the price point.

Edit: Also, the sound leakage is pretty bad so it would be best to keep these at home or turn the volume down when out in public.

    • All about the bass, no treble?

    • The sound quality on these headphones are really good especially if you're not a huge fan of bass like I am.

They're appalling in every single way. You've been put into a trance by that German name and the gratuitous Sennheiser logo on the headband like a lot of other people.

      Extensive rant here.

  • COTD seems 2B cheaper with "BDAY" Code if u have not used up All.

Really don't think these are worth more than about $25. Don't sound terrible but there are better for the price (KSC-75 being an example).

    • Agree, these go on sale for a lot cheaper at various sites, e.g. mymemory
But decent standard starter head phones. They've lasted me years, not as high quality as my other sets though.

  • These headphones aren't worth $37. Don't waste your money. They are flimsy, with poor sound isolation and sound quality to boot.

  • Stay away from these… as @Amar89 said, its a horrible headphone relying on the brand name, a bit like buying a 120i and saying its as good as a M5, its rubbish
