I tried to look up their search option but lists keep changing
Do we have a full list of all participating merchants particularly Melbourne CBD,Docklands,Richmond areas in Melbourne?
Few shops which I located in AMEX page ask me " What is AMEX Shopsmall" :(
Most store staff won't know about it. Just use your Amex card so long as it's registered and it will be figured out by Amex. You'll get a confirmation email after each spend to tell you that your credit is on its way.
I've found a lot of shops are listed in the Shop Small index but don't actually take Amex.
You can actually keep your receipt and complain that they don't accept it, but it's a bit of effort and after messing around with using their online form, scanning things, it's probably not worth the $10. (ok, it probably is, but i'm just lazy)
Where is this online form to use to make this complaint? It's happened once and I'm not too bothered, but if it happens again, I'll complain and claim the $10, since I scan all receipts anyway.

The shop small site is out of date. Lots of stores that accept it not there and lots of stores that are closed down that are on the list.
My first try was a failure. The shop doesn't take AMEX and they didn't even know about the shop small promotion. I rang AMEX to tell them and they said that this had never happened before. They didn't mention anything about any claim either.
I got couple of surprises last time this one was offered, the first time was a local florist in my area, I just used AMEX to get the points, and another time was with all places the Cheesecake Factory, I didn't know they would take AMEX let alone they are participating.
I've asked them before for a list and they said they would get back to me. They didn't.
that would be a LONG list.
