Dyson DC29 is a superseded barrel model (most likely the same for the DC33 Upright).
Current full-size barrel models include the DC54 range, with DC37C Origin as an entry level model.
Current model vs last model.. who cares.. it's a vacuum cleaner. An expensive one should last and be effective for 20 years regardless of which model it is.
