To be certain are these over or on, ears? My old eyes may deceive me and I don't want to buy "ON".

  The cups do not fully enclose the ears. They merely press onto them. That makes them uncomfortable for extended listening and terrible at noise isolation. I've tried these out before; I'd recommend giving them a miss.
