Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the price drop of the Xbox One overseas and if anyone has heard if the same will happen in Australia.
Will the Xbox One's price drop like it has overseas for the Christmas period

Did you miss the crazy MS Store deals posted yesterday? We have way better prices than the US for the Xbox One, the only catch is you need to buy a Bundle and pay 499/599 Upfront.
In the US the base model Xbox One will be 350 with a 15 day trial of Xbox Live and no game. So basically 350 for the console.
MS Store AC Bundle deal from yesterday
AC4: $15 (Actual retail ~40)
AC Unity: $50 (Actual retail ~70)
Sunset: $50 (Actual retail ~70)
Horizon 2: $50 (Actual retail ~70)
Forza 5 GOTY: $40 (Actual retail ~70)
12 Live $45 (Actual retail ~79)Total: $250 (this is if you tried to sell each item, not if you bought it separate, if you got it separate at retail price it would cost 399!!!)
Bundle Cost: $499
Console Cost: 499-250 = $249
You are getting the console for 249!
But it gets even better, if you use the coupon code, you get another 20 dollars off, Sunset overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 both come with 10 Dollars of Xbox Live credit each, meaning they are giving you 20 dollars! And if you go through cash rewards you get another 20 dollars off but I heard it comes in like 2 months.
So that means 249-60= 189
189!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I know you need to pay 499 upfront and that 20 dollars of this saving is Xbox Live credit and another 20 will take 2 months to be credited to you, but still the cost of the console is 189 on paper.
Also the games on offer are some of the best and are almost all new releases; Sunset Overdrive, Horizon 2 and AC Unity, I mean if you just wanted the Console for 350, what would you do with just the console? You would need a game and perhaps Xbox live, that would run you to 350+45+70= 465… That's just 35 less than this ridiculous deal.
We have a way way way better market for Xbox One in Aus, crazy better.
That being said Sunset and AC bundle are out of stock, perhaps restock will happen, Fifa bundle is there and there's other games you can add.
Yes that is really the best deal so far. If Microsoft wants to sell more Xbox they should offer this in all retail outlets, it would sell like hotcakes for the Christmas season. What makes that deal especially good is the extra $20 off coupon (console = $479), 4% CashBack (another ~$20 back) AND $20 of Xbox Live credit. That entire bundle with AC games + 3 others of your choice and 12 months live, only cost about $460. With all those new release games and gold included it is the perfect package to pick up and be ready to go, with plenty to keep you entertained. I really hope it will be offered by JBHIFI.
Yea I know what you mean, MS are hitting it out of the park with deals but they need to offer something similar in store, with all those new releases you're right this thing would fly off the shelves!!!
With all those new releases and 12 months of live, this is the craziest console deal ever!!!
Why didn't you grab one from MS store? Do you have gift vouchers from JB you need to burn?
Yeah I have a few gift cards unfortunately
@nubzy: Ahhh sucks to be isolated into one store, I haven't had much luck getting JB to lower any prices beyond the normal few bucks they take off, I don't really like the staff, they seem to all be trained to not budge at all! Hope you get a great deal at JB!!! They might do a crazy Christmas bundle with even better games like Far Cry 4 and Masterchief!!! Hope you manage to grab one buddy!!!
That offer seems to be no longer available. When I went on to the Microsoft site and tried to order it the following message came up:
Sorry about that. One or more of the items in this bundle are no longer available.
Is everyone else getting this message?
Thanks @Zylam Marex for the Information by the way, it's going to be a bummer if that deal is done.
All good friend, glad I could help, unfortunately the Xbox AC bundle isn't in stock, just a few hours ago I contacted the live chat support and they told me that the website has inventory updated live, basically told me to just keep checking it every now and than, it might come back!
The Fifa one is there though and it lets you chose 4 games as the console itself just comes with Fifa 15 (worth 60 easy), however if you picked it up and added Horizon 2 (worth 50), Forza Motorsport 5 GOTY (worth 40), Ryse Ledendary (worth 40) and Killer Instinct (worth 40), it might be possible to sell the games for a decent amount, around 180, that would put the remaining content at 319, where you have 12 months live (worth 45), and apply the 20 dollars discount code and the 20 dollars cash back, and the ten dollars of Xbox live credit coming from horizon 2, that's about 95, putting the cost of the console at 224, which is still not too bad! Better than America by miles!!
It's really up to Microsoft I guess. When Nintendo announced a price drop for the Wii U in the States, I was hoping it'd come over here as well, but it didn't happen. So, just wait and see.
