mobileciti had it for $419 last week
this is the exynos 5 Octa 5420 which imo is not as good as the snapdragon version
Played with this one in store today - browsing the web it still isn't as smooth as the iPad mini 3. Honestly, the speed scrolling a web page felt the same as my 2012 Galaxy Tab 7.7. My 2c.
all androids tab run really bad in store though.
I bought one of these and thought it was OK, but not great. I definately don't think it's worth more than an iPad Mini 2, which performs better than it in the areas that are of greatest concern to me - fast operation, good battery, great apps. The Tab S screen is really nice (of course), but it had weird quirks that ruined it for me. The battery life was abysmal, the Tab would get very hot browsing photos (WTF?), and it suffered from lots of annoying lags and jitters across the launcher and in apps, especially Chrome. In all it was a big let down for me and I returned it for an iPad Mini 2 (which is $50-70 cheaper). I installed the Google Now launcher and this improved performance slightly, but not enough to justify it's asking price. Sometimes I wish I could have a Samsumg Super AMOLED screen on an iPad. That's my perfect combo.
LOL, negative votes. Just an opinion.
does turning off power saving and multi-windows help inprove the speed? It does on my note 3
Really good screen but software (Samsung's version of Android) is very lagging.
Samsung should follow Moto, just use pure Google's Android.
Black version finally about to be released
To date only white and bronze
