WWE Network - Free Month for New Subscribers (Inc Survivor Series PPV)

130

For new subscribers only, the WWE network is available free for the whole month of November (regular price is $9.99 per month). This includes access to their back catalogue of WWE, WCW and ECW shows/PPV's as well as the 2014 Survivor Series PPV on November 23rd (24th for us). They also have some original programming as well for those who are interested.

Just need to make sure to cancel your subscription before the month is up unless you want to keep subscribing to the network. I've been trialling it for a few weeks and found that they are missing some of the older TV shows but there is plenty of content on there to keep any wrestling fan satisfied for a months access.

Is WWE not part of Hulu or Netflix ?

    • Some of the recent shows and dvd releases are. This includes the payperviews, older shows and from other promotions, different documentaries, etc.

Edit: Meant to be a reply to the above post.

They both have some WWE content. I think Hulu has first rights to stream current Raw and Smackdown episodes and then the network gets them a few weeks later or something. Neither have any PPVs though (as far as I am aware) while the network has most or all of them. I've been watching some of the older Wrestlemanias that I watched when I was younger, brings back some memories.

There is also a pretty good original series about the Monday Night Wars between WWF, WCW and ECW back in the late 90's. Worth a watch if you were a fan back then.

    • Ah I should've scrolled down and would've saw this already covered the question.

    • Yep, so are Santa Claus and elves.

"Professional wresting is real, people are fake."

    • Hahaha… oh, man… that is sad and hilarious at the same time :)

  • Worth a couple months subscription if your a wrasslin fan since the Monday night wars (or earlier)

If your a fan from the last couple years only, you're probably gonna be disappointed, but it's cheaper then buying the PPV's on foxtel and the monthly no contract cost is now $US9.99.

For your free month, watch the Monday Night Wars, worth your time.

How can someone watch this piece of shit entertainment. Oh hang on its not even entertaining. So people pay to watch fake punches and drama. Might as well watch keeping up with the kardashians !!

"fake punches and drama" wait so you don't watch movies, televsion, play videogames, etc. either?

    • Might as well watch keeping up with the kardashians !!

      keep digging…

    • Might as well watch keeping up with the kardashians !!

If I got to see those glitter-coated Bonobos suplexed face-first into a corner post every week, you can bet Kim's beluga whale ass I'd watch it.

I'd also like to apologise to our simian brethren for comparing them to the Kardashians; obviously they're still genetically closer to us humans than the Kardashians are.

    • A lot of programs on TV are scripted though. "its not even entertaining" is subjective, everybody enjoys different genres. Keeping up with the kardashians is program targeted at women, WWE is a program targeted at all demographics. Just to educate you, mid card to main eventers wrestle up to five times a week. Lifting up 150kg+ men and perfecting spots is no easy task. It's an endurance sport most of the time. Imagine wrestling 10-30 minute matches five times a week at a high intensity in addition to the daily travelling, autograph signing, pressure, etc. It's not "fake", it's scripted. Attacks are made so they do not injure the opposition, but often they do hurt. For example the weapons are made from thin products, obviously they aren't "steel" chairs and thick tables, but being hit by one of them DOES hurt. As a fan who has attended local wrestling shows before, these guys do get hurt. After matches they come out injured and are still willing to talk to fans, sometimes with deep cuts due to weapons. Ever wondered why a large portion of wrestling careers end early? Injuries and strain on the body.

Have some respect for wrestlers and what they do before you accuse it of being fake.

  • Just if you're interested in this as a long term thing, they do not show RAW or Smackdown episodes that are within the last two months, I think as to not piss off the cable providers in America. A free month is good, and if you want a PPV but don't care if you watch it on the day I suggest you wait an extra day as the quality is a lot clearer, I think they turn the quality down on the day because of the influx of people watching it.
