Hi all,
I'm in need of a video camera for a one off (charity) project. SO long as the camera is reasonably reliable and has a optical zoom function, it'd be OK. I'd also prefer external battery packs, i.e. not a built in battery so they could be swapped as one depletes.
The best deal I have so far seems to be the Panasonic HCV130GNK 8887549542442 http://www.harveynorman.com.au/cameras-printers-ink/cameras/…
I've explored rental costs, but they could end up more than a cheap camera. Cash Converters' prices for second hand ones seem outrageous to me.
I'd welcome other suggestions…
Thanks
I bought one of these for my sister about 2 months ago and had a play with it before I gave it to her. I was blown away by the zoom on it. You're going to want a tripod because you can't hold it steady enough when fully zoomed. A tiny shake at that distance is a big wobble in the finished product (same with any camera really).
For the price, I'd give it a thumbs up. It's basic, but good bang for buck.
No idea what the extra batteries would cost though. Might be worth checking that first.
