So, when I first visited Adelaide (for a multi-month stay),
I was rather surprised to be invited (by ad) to a pro-smoking
presentation, in North Adelaide.
It was held in a large auditorium (or maybe a banquet room), &
I clearly recall, that in the front row of seats - were several
women -noticeably smoking (currently, a very rare event).
Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. so I didn't stay for the
entire presentation. (I'm a non-smoker).

Today, I heard last Friday's edition of CBC's "As It Happens"
current events radio program.
One of the segments reported, that the maker of Camel Cigarettes
to BAN Smoking in the Workplace, effective some time in 2015,
ie, after the company provides "Smoking Permitted" rooms(!),
ie, for their smoking employees.
CBC's presentation seemed to point-up the tongue-in-cheek irony.
(I wonder if "My ABC" ever covered this story? And… if they
do… how their slant in it will be. A link to any coverage
would be welcomed… ;-)
