hey guys mangoes are in season right now and my local woolies costs a whopping $3.98 a mango. Even my local fruit and veg shop is very expensive at $4.99 kg mangoes. So my question is, where do i get cheap mangoes right now?

Costco used to sell $10 trays last year. Dunno if that's still the case this year. They only sell one particular type of mangos (it's not the kingsonton ones, which IMO are the best ones), and they're small, but in terms of mango meat per dollar it was the best.
correct me if I am wrong. think it is still new season for mangoes.
probably wait for another few more weeks before price gets softer.
if you need now, then wholesale fruit market is your best bet,Mango season typically kicks off with mangos from Darwin, which is having a slow season this year, thus affecting supply and ultimately the price. Queensland mangos will be kicking in soon but won't be in full effect till another month or so. My cousin operates a few farms in Darwin, cairns and Townsville as well as retail stores in springvale and footscray. So your best bet is to head to where the ethnics are for the cheapest and best variety of fresh fruit and veggies

Any Asian greengrocers or supermart - they get them in from Phillippines really sweet and cheap!
I bought $3.99 kg at Footscray Market(melbourne) on tuesday they were very sweet and cheap as well!

Supermarket $3.00 each.
Aldi $2.50 each.
My local IGA repacked 9 in a small box for $20.
Aldi had them for $1.99 each in Newcastle a few days ago.

bought a box of 16 Kensington mangoes for $16 in fruit shop in Eastwood shopping centre (NSW). quite big in size and sweet. they also had boxes with smaller mangoes for $12.
Try your nearest local fruit and vegie market e.g. Queen Vic or Dandenongs or Prahan or South Melbourne in Melbourne and suburbs. Also Footscray and Preston and Springvale.
