My wife and I are holidaying in Europe for 7 weeks, leaving early October 2015. We are heading to the Europe expo on this weekend in Melbourne also. Note, we are skipping the UK this trip and will do this another trip.
Most airlines don't book beyond about half way through September currently, however I'm wondering what approach you'd take in booking flights to get the best deal?
There are some average deals on now (one way from between 800-1500, one person) depending on what airline, flying into Paris. We're flexible on arrival city.
My question is, would you book now or hold out for a better deal? Friends have gotten 900-1100 return to Greece, per person, 10 months in advance. However, we don't want to leave it too late as we want to book ahead for accommodation and start planning asap.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Cheers
I say if you can get it for under $1300 return, then book straight away. October isn't THE best time for Europe though.
You can still get tickets departing THIS October for $1400 Paris, return.
