Likely a pricing error so get in quick if you want this one. It's a great game but you should look at getting the DSFix mod. They're switching the game from GWFL to Steam in a month as well!

That's not true. Played both dark souls and dark souls 2 on PC through to completion with a keyboard and mouse. I find them a much better tool than a controller in almost all games I can think of.

Dark Souls is by far far far better controlled with a controller, it was designed that way.

Agreed, you do not absolutely need a controller, I have over 200 hours clocked on dsk1 and 100 hours on dks 2, without owning a controller. The controls are overall better on a controller, but its not like you totally have to have one to beat the game, or even enjoy it (dks1 is in my top 3 games since 2000).

If you can find one (and don't mind the preloved controller crust) then a wired XBOX360 controller will do the trick fine. You dont need a guide, its pretty obvious while you are playing. The summoning system is very unique, though it can be annoying at times when trying to summon a friend

Dark Souls is a fantastic game, give it a try and stick with it. For extra challenge don't look at any guides! Just one tip: when you get to the shire, don't walk into the graveyard!

This is one of my favourite games of all time.
Played it through on my first time with keyboard and mouse, and the next 3 with controller.
HIGHLY recommend the use of a controller, preferably PS3. Makes a huge difference.
Also, pretty much unplayable without 'DSFix' haha, I do exaggerate, but make sure you grab it.
PS3 controller…? Dude, that controller was the worst dual stick device of any generation. It feels so loose and flimsy in the hand. I have a PS3 and 4 controllers, so I'm not some xbox fan boy. PS4 controller feels so much better, they made the right improvements down at Sony with that one.
Anyways, anyone playing this, grab an xbox 360 controller and a PC connection kit and enjoy your DS experience :)
Yup DS4 > 360 > PS3 controller-wise
Souls were designed for Playstation, and I like the feel of DS for souls. Second playthrough was on a wired Xbox, the rest on DS3.
The point was use a controller, you can take your pick…
