Bargains / recommendation for a wireless door bell.

  if you check ebay there are many with same/similar picture with those sold at bunning, with slight cheaper peices, but longer waiting time. your choice.
  i have one and it works fine, loud and wireless distance is good

  also check, i saw one pack with 2 buttons/triggers so you can put each at different doors

  Actually, the house I just moved in, has this ARLEC receiver but the Push Button is missing. check this :

  I am wondering in this case can I just buy the push button? but not sure which push button will be compatible with this receiver. Any idea? OR should I simply get the new set of receiver and push button as I am not sure if that receiver is even working or not.

  I had one about 10 years ago (unfortunately can't remember the brand) but the unit that was outside the door, with the button to press to ring the doorbell, used to get through batteries really quickly - it needed a new battery every 3-4 months (and I didn't have many visitors ringing the doorbell).

  We currently have an Arlec and have only had to change the battery in the outdoor unit once since we moved in 6 years ago (not sure how old the doorbell is as it was already here when we moved in). The indoor unit plugs into the mains. However, someone in our neighbourhood has something that sets off the doorbell (it'll often go off at the same time everyday for a week - with no-one at the door - but then nothing for months and then it'll happen again) - I've not been able to find out what it is.
