Yesterday, I passed by the Sunshine (VIC) ALDI store. They got 50% off for this portable 4 stroke power generator. Their catalog showed 299A$ but the Sunshine store displayed the discounted price of 149A$. Not applied for other stores through.

Gennies for $150 are always amazingly cheap and good for powering lights, but you really should take some care with what you connect to them.
The AC output can be poorly filtered & regulated and can damage/destroy expensive equipment through spikes and surges.
Always use a good quality, robust spike & surge arrestor with them.
But if it's a professional or critical application, don't muck about, save up and buy a well reviewed brand like one of the Honda EU or Yamaha or equivalents, etc.
Also, they only list its peak output, no mention of its continuous power output which is more important.
