24x Coke $13.40 ($0.55/can), 4x Maxibon/Monaco Ice Cream $3.99, Doritos $1.59, Shapes $1.47 @IGA

550

Some awesome prices this week at IGA. At $0.55 per can, Coke is the cheapest it's been in a while, and who doesn't love Maxibons… a bargain at $1 each.

Confirmed prices for QLD & VIC stores. Can others please confirm the remaining states.
EDIT: appears to be national, as per comments in post.

Cheers guys.

    It's pretty similar in SA

Not sure if the $3.99 drumsticks will also apply to maxibons and monaco bars though - will have to suss it out.

also SA IGAs appear to be selling cans in 20 packs (not 24) for $12, still a good deal.

finally, doritos are $1.79 not $1.59.

      Thanks again!

  • Great price on coke cans. Thanks TA!

    • just picked some up from my local store in Watsonia VIC. They weren't labeled as being on special in store, so checked at the checkout that they scanned at the cheap price.

Looks like I get to have the good stuff for a little while (I normally go for Pepsi Max because prices are lower))

      • Maybe it's everyday price

        • nup - it is labelled on shelf at approx $26, but scans at the $13 or whatever the special price

I prefer Pepsi Max anyway. Coke is normally dearer not because it's better, but because they spend so much on advertising and because they have the name.

    • Yeah. I prefer the 1.25l bottles. Also on special and a little cheaper than the cans.

Confirmed for my local store in Townsville, so I'm assuming the rest of QLD will be good also.

  • Not sure if the "Shapes" biscuits could really be described as "half price". A "normal" packet of shapes costs around $2.95, and weighs 175g or 180g, depending on the flavour.

These packets are half the price of "normal" shapes, but only 120g - 33% less biscuits than a "normal" packet!

Seems they are trying to repeat what happened with Tim Tams - shrink the packet substantially while trying to keep the same price, and hoping people don't notice.

    • These are actually the new Light & Crispy Shapes, so you're really not comparing apples with apples (so to speak). The standard ones (175g) are still at normal price I believe.

    • yep - I agree with the tight one. These are a different variety (I have also seen them on the shelf at Coles) and I'm sure once they are off "intro" special, they will go up to approx half this special price

    Confirmed in WA catalogues too

    • Cheers buddy!

  • Maxibon. Best ice cream eva!

  • 24 packs still available at Blackburn, VIC.

Edit: My Coca-Cola 24 packs had an expiry of Sept, 2015. They were the last two on the floor, there could be more out the back. There were lots of other varieties available.
