Looking for a replacement charger for Samsung Laptop in Melbourne. Harder than I thought to get something at a reasonable price. Have thought about ebay but have concerns that depending where purchased might damage pc. Are there any good brands of universal chargers at a reasonable price? Are there any reputable computer retailers that might sell something suitable? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Have you checked universal ones that office works etc sell. They have tips to suit different laptops.
As a data point, I've bought a second no name charger for every laptop I've had for the last 15 years without incident.
I wouldn't even consider it would be a problem.
If you can tell the model number, someone in this community may have an unwanted one.
Happy to spare one if it is a Lenova.
