Haven't done a lot of searching and I'm surprised that there isn't a thread on this already, EB are doing preorders for the XL version @ $249 and $219 for the regular size model, JB seem to be about the same price. Anyone seen any deals around? Only thing I found cheaper was this http://savygamer.co.uk/2014/10/19/nintendo-new-3ds-xl-bluebl… which worked out to around $220 but doesn't seem to exist on the site anymore.

Just a reminder that Australia and NZ are the only Western places to get the "New 3DS" series this year, so I would avoid any imports unless you are willing to wait…
I wouldn't get too excited just yet anyway; unless you're absolutely dying to play Xenoblade Chronicles, there's no harm in waiting until next christmas, when they start making only n3DS games. Monster Hunter 4 rumoured as the last large release for the 3DS.
Yeah nah, have trouble believing every large developer is going to make new 3DS only games. This is like the DSi, likely to be useless and likely only have a few games exclusively for it.

Contemplating trading in my current 3DS XL for the N3DS XL. Not sure if trading it in at eb is worth it though. Any thoughts guys?
I think the trade in value at EB is around $100. Definitely try selling it yourself you could get at least $150
It's a pre order at the moment so you probably won't find it any cheaper
