    Maybe it's just me, but anybody who pays $22 for a mop has brains roughly the same consistency as, and of the same material as, the smears that get left behind on the bowl the morning after a big feed of Indian take-away (if you haven't got a PS-x or xBox, those smears are fun aiming marks for the whole rest of the day).

    I'm a scabby bugger though - our last two floor appliances (both "Vileda" - RRP in the $30s) have been scavenged from stuff folks have left out for hard rubbish collection… the old "Mitre 11". And I buy our mop heads for $3 from the Reject Shop (or I use a $1 'sham-wow' as a French-style 'serpillière').
