Does anyone have recent experience of buying a new system in ACT for the feedback to grid scheme. It would appear I should go with 5kw system, as $1200 approx electric bills per year will have system paid off in 6 years (not allowing for increase in electric costs). This is based on ACTEWAGL pricing.
Whaat you reckon?

From actewagl web page I thought there was a rebate from state gov. $4050 approx. so price 8900-4050 means I fork out &4850. Then save say $800 per year would have the system paid off in 6 years???
So is actewagl the provider of choice?
I see origin are offering special deal? But not sure if they do solar?
Cheers
I've used ACTEWAGL quoted installation prices but they are probably better elsewhere.

5kw system = $8890
ACTEWAGL savings estimater says you'll save between $710 and $820per year using a 5kw system based on a annual bill of between $1000 and $1500. http://www.actewagl.com.au/Product-and-services/Solar/Solar-…
It looks like best case is that the system will pay for itself in 10yrs
You can probably assume power will go up over that time so I guess if you're planning on staying in the ACT long term then it's probably worth it. You also have a Green element to this aswell :)
