Hi all,
The iPad I am after is currently priced @ $709 in the Apple store.
I guess, my preference is to get it from them (due to perceived ease of warranty services) than other sellers. The 2-year statutory warranty under Australian Consumer Law, according to Apple states that if the item stops working etc, during the 12-month-24-month period, to go back to the seller for warranty.
However, if I can get a better deal some place else and if it's relatively substantial, I might get it from another seller. Two years ago, I got the iPad 4 at Myer:
- price-matched Target (that had 5% off)
- used Myer gift cards (that had bonus $10 for every $100 purchased)
- claimed GST back as I was going to travel.
What was essentially $679 full RRP, I paid about: $533 saving $146.
Unfortunately, this time, I'm not likely to travel… so scratch step 3.
So, does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks.
Various Dick Smiths stores had 'in-store specials' on the weekend with savings in excess of $100.
