Hi everyone,
I'm going to trek the Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal in December this year.
I just want some advice on what type/brand of hiking shoes or boots I should buy.
The base camp is 10 days and it will most likely be snowing/wet in winter.
I've read on some forums that Goretex technology would be useful.
If anyone has trekked in the Himalayas during winter, or at all, your advice would be much appreciated.

There are lots of good boots out there. I would take something like Scarpa Kailash (goretex) 1.26kg
Lighter is better.
You could also go leather but they will be heavier.
