Just a little bit more info to answer some of the queries:
The listed products are parallel imports and were Made in EU, just like all other Senor/Sensor Excel products. In fact there is only one factory that manufactures Sensor Excel products for the western world and that is located in Poland.Check the bottom of your packaging :).
About the quality:
When Gillette developed the DLC (Diamond Like Coating) tech for Mach3 it was a game changer. It allowed the blades to be made tougher and thinner at the edge which resulted in less drag and irritation = better shave. This technology remained exclusive to the Mach3 franchise for a long while, taking Mach3 to the top in terms of volume and sales. It was no longer viable to manufacture two different spec steel and blades as economies of scale were suddenly missing for Sensor..so Gillette decided to use the same steel products for Sensor as for Mach3. This doesn’t make Sensor Excel the equal of Mach3 as there is a lot more tech behind that 3 blade product than just the blade, but it was a definite upgrade (around 2000). Both Mach3 and Sensor Excel were manufactured in Berlin, however Sensor Excel manufacture was moved to Poland after Procter & Gamble bought Gillette (around 2006).
If you happened to have lived in Europe you were offered 3 different Gillette safety blade (double edge) products: Red Stainless (regular), Blue Platinum (premium) and Astra (Basic), all three were identical products with the same steel, only the packaging and pricing was different (this was obviously not communicated), people still swore that one was better than the other :)…perception is not reality
i wouldnt expect to pay anything i didnt even know these old blades were made anymore.
