Katies - not honoring order - what to do?

Sis has placed a (Click To Collect) order (using some coupon code) which went fine and seeing status as "Awaiting Shipping" from day1. Amount was deducted from paypal account on day1 itself. Now after a week when I rang customer service they said the item is not in stock so we will process the refund.

At time of ordering we had few items left and thus our order went fine.
Due to some silly process in Katies we lost that item now.

Is it pretty common to face such situation?

  • people are quite rude but the best store not to honour your order is 'USAFoods' absolute terrible service, you could place a order one week and 3 weeks later they will email you saying theres no stock. and this is several times. argh haha

      Whats batman going to do i watched Gotham the other night hes a 13 year old boy whose parents just got killed don't think he cares about Katies at all

    If they refund your money, there is really no recourse of action.

    • They only refund your money and you lose the voucher value. I'm having the same problem with another online company. Bought a few items, used the welcome coupon that I was sent.Never received the parcel. was told that they will proceed with a refund, less the welcome coupon, even though they still have the items in stock and could just as easily resent them. Quite dodgy, really.

      • i assume the voucher value is those "$10 off your first order" or something like that? The actual "value" of that voucher is $0.0001 if they've written the fine print correctly.

        Anyway, if you do decide to reorder, just close that account and reorder through a new email. or use the old gmail "fullstop" trick

        • Actually, it was a $20 ezibuy voucher that we have received by post.
