I think it's the same heart rate monitor watch that was $20 back in August but saw in the local newspaper today (Southern Courier in Sydney) that it's now on sale for $6.99 as part of "red hot deals".

    Wife bought one when it was $20. Heart rate seems to jump around a lot when just resting so I'm not sure how accurate these models are in general. Could just be a fault with ours I guess.

      Caution, once knew a fella who bought a cheap heart rate monitored treadmill. He thought it was faulty cause it operated irratically (treadmill speed jumped around a lot ). Turned out he had an irregular heart beat. Could it be worthwhile having the wife's pulse checked by a doc at the next visit. Just tryin to be helpful that's all.

        Yeah, I have arythmia and these heart rate monitors jump around all the time.

    Thanks for feedback but this was happening when we both tested it and I was comparing it with my pulse taken manually, watch was telling me 130bpm or something then dropping back to true pulse of 70. I was actually worried at the time as I had a bad flu but manual testing at the same time as the watch revealed the watch was registering incorrectly.
