What Is Everyone's Experience with DSE Online (Shipping Times)

Just wanted to get some feedback from fellow OzB's as to their experience with DSE and shipping times.
I placed an order last Thursday at around 9am and the item arrived Friday Morning
However, my co-worker is at 10 days and his order is showing as "shipped" but when he checks with Star Track it shows as "manifest received" he has contacted DSE and they keep promising to fix it, but nothing is being done.
My boss also refuses to buy from DSE as he said three orders he has placed has taken almost 2 weeks to ship when the item is in stock.

I would be interested to find out what others experiences have been like.

    Once I received my order in 2 days! But usually its around a week for me

    I ordered Chocolat Eneloops Thursday morning and received them Friday morning.

    sometimes they are fast, sometimes they are slow. I usually give them 5 business days

    Hi Dick Smith Employee here. Speaking on behalf of myself (not the company of course) it depends where it gets shipped from which will cause the time will be different in the times people will have stuff arrive. That being said, usually the smaller stuff which is in excess supply and ordered that morning will pretty much be shipped out that afternoon from your closest online store (i.e HDMI cables etc). That being said, Yes your item maybe shipped from a different state. Also, I wouldn't rely so much on the website to determine if an item is in stock as it doesn't take into affect sales that day, theft and other changes in numbers. To help make sure people get there stuff as early as possible, they push that there is no outstanding online orders by the end of the day.

    Ordered Eneloops (8pack) on the 9th, shipped the 10th (Friday), received in the morning on the 13th (Monday).

    Can't complain one bit about DickSmith's delivery times.. Order was sent out the day after payment, shipping process continued over weekend and early morning delivery on Monday morning followed by an SMS confirmation. Wasn't even expecting it until at least Tuesday or Wednesday due to the late night postage on Friday and deliveries usually not continuing over weekends by other couriers.

    Package wise, despite only being a pack of batteties, it was on a nicely packagaed bubble wrap bag. No complaints from me here.

    Pricing wise, Dicksmith often has $2 delivery (which they did at the time) and even free delivery at times. Once again, nothing to complain about here.

    Have per-ordered 4x Xbox One games & so far so good. Normally dispatches the night before release day and arrives at the local GPO on the day of release by midday.
    That being said, I gather if anything goes wrong, its rather hard to deal with the customer care offices & involves long wait times.

    Also with games like CoD:AW that have a pre-order incentive, I'd be surprised if it would arrive in time to use the "day zero" bonuses.

    I bought a TV which was lost somewhere during delivery, Constantly messaged DSE several times within a months period only for them to tell me that I've already received and signed for the TV. Closing up to the 5-6 week period finally support was able to contact startrack or w/e the (profanity) and realize the package had not been delivered and had been lost somewhere within their warehouse and had never set off for delivery. Then took even more time before i was able to get a refund which (supposedly being transferred into my bank now) for what ever reason they decided to remove almost $200 from the refund amount and am still unable to receive that money till now.
