Looking to Buy Fujifilm X-T1

Anyone know any deals at the moment for this camera?

Thinking about getting rid of all my SLR gear and going mirrorless instead…seems to be the trend these days.

But also just more practical for what I use my camera for these days too - which is really just for leisure.

Reading a tonne of reviews and I think I've settled on this model as the way to go.

If you're a serious photographer, you should stick with your DSLR. Mirrorless cameras are toys, they're second cameras for professional photographers who want a camera they can take with them to dinners and events and to play with when they're out taking photos of their kids. They're also first cameras for people who don't want to own a DSLR because they're big and clunky.

This debate has been going on for a long, long time. If you're familiar with the history of photography, you'd know about rangefinder cameras and the war they had with film SLRs long before digital ever existed. Guess what? Film SLRs won and nobody used rangefinder cameras any longer, they became simply a niche product. Same thing with mirrorless cameras now, they're just the digital versions of rangefinders, they're cool, they're chick and they're fashionable, but they're toys, not real cameras for real photographers.

he's not the type of photographer that should stay with SLR, most if not all the con's of a mirrorless would not affect his purposes.
