Anyone Here Managed to Price Match Any Gaming Bundles at Harvey Norman Lately ?

I walked into a Harvey Norman store today and tried to get a price match for this deal from BigW

Guess what they told me ?

Firstly they do not have the titles available so I asked the Salesperson if he was willing to change the titles for me ?
He half heartedly sayed yes.
Then asked me if I wanted to upgrade my phone.
ASked me what games I wanted, I looked at his stock on display, they Had Fifa15 and Destiny, so I said I wanted those two.

Salesperson punched some numbers into his computer and offered this

FIfa14, Destiny, Ps4 Console with 1 controller. and 3 years replacement warranty for $607..
This salesperson was only going to do a deal @ $607… and he told me he was taking care of me.

I probed further and he told me, Big W usually do not have stock.

Anyways, which other stores have you had a chance to Price Match with ?
It looks like I will not walk into another Harvey Norman anytime soon.

    3 year replacement warranty.
    they charge alot for those store warrantys.

      charge all they want, but the store person told me he will only price match if I take store warranty… but I told him this is optional and i don't want it…

        Its all profit for them as they don't honor it anyway. Store warranty is a total ripoff and should be avoided like the plague.

    Harvey Norman are notorious for dodgy 'pricematch' policies. It's usually best just to go directly to the store as many stores don't pricematch bundles.

    Try JBHifi or something if you really need to pricematch.

    They aren't required to price match anyway so I don't get the problem? Would it be nice for them to price match? Certainly! Are they required to price match? Nope. Price matching is up to the discretion of the store, even places like Kmart, Target, ebgames will only price match if that specific store wants to.

    I just avoid Harvey Norman as they are usually useless.

    What are the best places to get a price match ? EB Games ? I never thought JB Hifi bothers to do price matching ?

    What about Good Guys ?

      Bundles? No one really. You can try some of those stores but again, its managers discretion.

      Get friendly with a manager. My old manager went from Kmart with us to JB. Many price matches and discounts have been had, thats your best bet.

    Why ever buy anything from HN unless its a huge saving to begin with?
