I need to get a new Iron, I don't mind paying extra for one if it's going to do a better job or last longer. I have no idea what's good, productreview showed me Philips EasySpeed 2100W for $40 or the 2200W for $10 more. I've seen people happy with their expensive tefals, but is there much benefit to getting one like that if I'm only ironing 1 shirt a day.

I was faced with the prospect of buying an iron but decided to get married instead, worlds most expensive iron would have been cheaper
I'll keep that in mind when I head to Harvey Norman, in case the sales person gets any ideas.
I had a teflon non-stick iron for about 12 years. The cord got frayed and couldn't be replaced, and the replacement is the plain metal base.
I do 90% of the ironing as I need a shirt daily too, and I pine for my old non-stick one.If it could be placed it should be able to be replaced?
I don't know, am a miser, so even paying anything more than $30 gives me chest pain problems. So my personal opinion will be anything around the $30 or less on special to give you the best chestest value for money iron.
