Some douchebag has scratched the passenger side door of my brand new car while it was parked at a shopping centre. Must have hit it while opening his/her door. I am so sad for my car and angry on that idiot.
It's not a dent, but the paint is off now. You can see a long straight white line on the door due to that. Is there a way to fix it? Cut & polish? Any other options? Please help.
If its not a dent your paint might be safe. What you are seeing can potentially be paint transfer from his car door.

Thanks for the responses so far. I will take some photos and upload them tomorrow. I am hoping the method suggested by @iampoor works.
Upload photos. How deep is it?? If it's not too deep a cut and polish job might work but it obviously won't restore the paint. Otherwise use some touch-up paint sticks.
