Just Got NBN, Now We Need a Voice Service

Hi fellow OzBargainers!

Recently got standalone NBN with Skymesh and am wondering what should be my next step in getting some sort of voice service. Currently still have my TPG adsl/phone combo but that will be gone shortly.

Need:

  • cheap calls to landline/mobiles in Australia
  • cheap calls to Malaysia (high amount of calls)
  • landline number so that we can be contacted from that

Also would like to know how this get be setup physically by possibly still using the cordless phone we have at home, and maybe diverting to the mobile too (as an added benefit of voip).

    Get SKype at $58/year, unlimited Australia and worldwide
    Can get Skype number at half price with subscription
    Can get a Portable Phone with skype for about 50 bucks if you don't want to use your mobile app
    Cards are half price with week at supermarkets

    Best thing is use when not in home and even when not in Australia

      You can get a skype phone that looks like a landline

          nice, they changing their conditions for calls to mobiles within Australia, so change the plan now before it gets too late
