Hey, so I'm currently on the $16.90 sim card pack which was originally the $7 power pack. I've read on whirlpool of a few people getting charged after porting out their number for a the $30 Termination fee, whilst some did not. Also, some were charged the next month? Does anyone have any idea on how to avoid this fee and how to avoid being charged the next month? Cheers.
so if my plan is $16.90 and i left 15 days in, I would be charged $8.45 the next month and then thats the end of Vaya?
No you will be charged nothing because like I said Vaya charges in advance.
Now if you happen to have $500 worth of calls and 1gb of data, make sure you use no more than $250 worth of it and 500mb otherwise you will pay through your nose because you used more than half your allowance in 15 days.
Best thing to do is port before the end of the month.
Once you port out from Vaya, do you have to contact them?

I'm cancelling one of my vaya subscriptions, so porting out is the way to go. To which provider should I port for free and can keep the number for years without paying? TIA!
You have to port out, transfer your number to another carrier to avoid the termination fee.
You will be charged pro-rata for the month you terminated your sim plan. i.e 15 days = half your allocated allowance. So make sure you do not have heavy usage during the early days of the month and stop your plan early. This is a ridiculous requirement in their part seeing as Vaya charges 1 month in advance.
Horrible service and now charging 200% more than starting plan charges.
