5% off Now More Useful with WISH eGift cards

Hi,

We all know that stacks of places offer 5% off gift cards. Well, the entertainment book just emailed me that they now offer it on WISH e-vouchers too. Opens up things for me. It can be any amount up to $500, with NO DELIVERY FEE!
They state they're "received by email and can be used immediately in-store or online" - hopefully they're therefore received immediately too.

So, for eg

  • EDIT: can't use at dick smith sorry. haggle the dick smith guy down (or use a code) then buy a voucher for the exact amount
  • get a voucher for the exact amount of your shopping
    And so on… No leftover silly amount on a gift card, and still saving 5% every time.
  • Even better, these can be used to pay at big w online & most likely cellarmasters online too.

    The same could be achieved with the ME bank 5% off offer, just go to places like woolworths or Auspost and get your cards for 5% off. But of course this is quite convenient.

    A week or so too late, but better late than never I suppose…I was lamenting the lack of EB eCards when I was buying my TV last weekend!

    I didnt renew EB this year because of coles departure can still get woolies thru red energy with free dlivery

      Yes, eGift cards can't be used at Dick Smith.
      Unless it's changed recently, the "Classic" (physical) WISH cards still can be. I can post confirmation later, if someone else hasn't before then.

        Just received $100 wish gift card from EB and it doesn't have Dick Smith on it any more so I guess it can't be used there. The $300 ones my friend ordered a week ago still have Dick Smith on them though so perhaps the higher value gift cards can still be used at DS.

          Try it anyway, the last wish gift card I used didn't say anything about DSE on it, but the transaction still went through fine!

        Ordered a Classic WISH Gift Card from the new Everyday Gift Cards/Entertainment Book link. Can confirm they still work at Dick Smith.

        Not going to happen. Was a relic of them being part of the Woolworths group.

        Don't think I've ever seen the DSE -only cards at discount.

    So how long does the email delivery takes for these cards? I Ordered first e card today 3 hours ago but still have not received it

      They quote 'up to 12 hours' for email delivery once you purchase. Mine took about that long to arrive.

    Just wondering how do you use egift card at the petrol station. Are you handed a number where you will need to print out, then scan at the station?

      You print out a sheet which has a 10 digit card number on it & a PIN. You have to type both of the numbers into the eftpos unit at the petrol station service counter. There is no bar code to scan. You have to type the number in manually.
