CokeRewards - Lost Account (~7000 Points)

I had a coke rewards account with approximately ~7000 points in it.
I entered a group of 10 codes, probably once a month. The last time I entered points was probably June/July.
However, late July I couldn't log in to my account (less than 90days), and I called their number, and opened a case.

I provided as much information as I possibly could, including all the codes that my browser had saved via autofill, images of things I've redeemed. They asked for email correspondence between them, and the receipts that came when the rewards were delivered, but I couldn't provide either as I don't keep.

Long story short, the technical group has been difficult to communicate with via email only (I asked to be called, and they haven't). I received an email today (2months) saying they resolved my case and can not help any further. They credited an email account (not even a valid email) that is similar to mine with 2000 points. However, this account has been non active since 2012…

They haven't answered the legitimate questions I had, including I guess the most important one, "how come you can't track my account by the codes that I've given you?"

I've seem to hit a brick wall, so I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with their account "disappearing".

I just can't help but think that my account "disappeared" because of how many points it had.

  • so you lost access to the email address?
I'm trying to understand how this would happen.

    • I had a coke account under (eg) "example123"@yahoo.com.au. I'm 100% sure that is the account I used, because it is saved in my macbook's keychain application (stored usernames + passwords)
I still have access to the actual email account, and that's the email that I communicate with coke rewards with.

However, since July, I can't log in using these details, and coke rewards has no record of this account existing. They do however, have a very similar email, [email protected], that has my details and phone number. That account has been inactive since 2012, with a low point score.

the suffix @yahoo.com.trr isn't even a valid email, so it shouldn't be possible to register that account anyway, (confirmation link etc).

similar to you, I'm trying to understand how it could happen.
