I bought a Romoss sense charger from Alibaba and connected it to my iPhone 6.
I noticed that as soon as I connect my device to the charger it drops the TV connection.
I've tested it with the normal charger and it charges fine without dropping the connection.
Is this common with anyone else?
Does anyone know if it's unsafe to use?
Electromagnetic interference will sometimes completely obliterate radio reception in cars for people who buy some of the cheap, poorly designed, lighter-socket USB chargers being spat out of China to be sold for a dollar or a few.
Your 'Romoss' powerbank may well be a knockoff and have similarly lousy, noisy, circuit-design - or the EMI could be coming from a loose wire or other connection.
Sooooo…
Either way, and especially if you do have a knockoff (which will also almost certainly contain, in addition, poor quality, high internal-resistance lithium cells, be they cheap'n'nasty, fake-branded, or old notebook refurbs), you might like to consider only using - and particularly, recharging - your powerbank outside. Long extension cord, metal bucket…
Depending on when you bought it, you could also lodge a dispute with Alibaba/express. They will not be unfamiliar with unhappy powerbank purchasers.
