Sales Everywhere with a TV Bargain Almost Daily - Help Me to Choose between 55" or 60"

Hi Guys,

I think its time for me to upgrade my lounge room TV from 60cm CRT to a newer LCD possibly 55-60"

Now with all the TV's available at this stage, its very confusing and hard to keep track of the good deals. I'm looking for a TV $1500~ with or without smart TV as it will be connected to a computer for movies, youtube and possibly some games.

I heard passive 3D is quite good but also very gimmicky?

FULL HD vs ULTRA HD? worth the extra spend for that?

Anyone bought a TV recently and can vouch for the price/quality?

Also looking for furniture for the lounge room, sofas best place to buy them in Adelaide?

    Go the 60, the extra 5 inches can compensate for other things.

      Look closely at the Seiki 65", the 20% off with DSEbay should bring it down under the $800 mark. Mine's currently still in the (huge) box occupying almost a full wall of the spare bedroom! ;)

      [edit] Scratch that, Dick's pulled a dick move & upped the price in anticipation…maybe wait for a legit sale, should only take a few days!

        Are seiki TV reliable? Never heard of the brand before…

          A lot of guys on here were ordering the 4k variants from Amazon for use as monitors, they all seemed quite happy with them. You have the backup of it being from a major bricks & mortar store too, so I figured it was worth a punt…

          Hopefully I'll finish painting the lounge room over the weekend & then I can unbox mine, wall mount it, test it & report back on it.

    Depends on veiwing distance. Australia won't catch up and broadcast in real HD for another 10 years, so pretty pointless getting UltraHD.

          Depending on Series in Samsung and if you have other Samsung devices (phone, tablets etc) it's a no brainer to go Samsung.

          @Micoa: The extra 20% off still works, the models were just marked down previously and have now gone back to full price! Sorry for the miss understanding.
