      Your a fail.

I can confirm this works great on an LS1, it also comes with an Android app that has instruments that report in real time, trip fuel cost and data logging (apparently), amazing device, well worth over $50 I think

I can also confirm that these devices work no worries at all. I've used them on a few vehicles. Excellent service & diagnostic tool.

        I wouldn't say it's worth over $50 though.

        "You're".

  • How would this compare to the OBDlink MX from scantool.net?

    • +1

Depends on what your trying to do with what vehicles.

In most cases this device is appropriate.

      • Will it be able to clear airbag light errors?

        • +1

Depends. Different makes and models use different protocols. If your vehicle supports one of the following you may be able to reset the error.

          SAE J1850 PWM(41.6Kbaud)
          SAE J1850 VPW(10.4Kbaud)
          ISO9141-2(5 baud init,10.4Kbaud)
          ISO14230-4 KWP(5 baud init,10.4 Kbaud)
          ISO14230-4 KWP(fast init,10.4 Kbaud)
          ISO15765-4 CAN(11bit ID,500 Kbaud)
          ISO15765-4 CAN(29bit ID,500 Kbaud)
          ISO15765-4 CAN(11bit ID,250 Kbaud)
          ISO15765-4 CAN(29bit ID,250 Kbaud)SAE J1939 CAN(29bit ID,250Kbaud)
          USER1 CAN(11
          bit ID,125Kbaud)
          USER2 CAN(11
          bit ID,50*kbaud)

    • I wanted to ask the same question.

    • OBDlink MX or LX are the best in my opinion, use them if you want quick speeds. For example, if you want the rev measurement and speed on your phone to be the exact same as your car at any given time.

However, for most other uses, this is more than fine.

  • I've never Tmarted before. How exactly do you apply the discount code?

*Nevermind. I figured it out. You can't checkout using the Paypal button. You have to sign up/in first.

  • Will this work on a vw golf 6

    • +1

What you're looking for is something that supports VAG-COM. This unit will not work with your car.

      • This is for OBD. So I think it will work on VW Golf 6, just not the VCDS stuff.

I could be wrong. Any expert here?

      • +2

        VAG-COM….

    • I believe it will work for OBD parameters (emission system), in fact it should work on any cars made after 1996 (I think). Don't expect it to work for VW VCDS—probably need Ross Tech for that.
If anyone knows any cheap wireless for VCDS, let me know.

      • Search eBay for VAG-COM. There are different versions so pay attention to the year of your vehicle and the scan tool you're getting.

      • i know about ross tech for vw,audis & skodas.

il give this a miss, impulse buys are starting to make my house look like a junk yard lol

  • Will this work on 1997 Mitsubishi Magna TF? There are a lot of confusion regarding this as Mitsubishi used to follow a proprietary protocol.

    • +2

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure your car uses MUT-II.
A common scan tool for Mitsubishi is evoscan.

      • Is there any cheap package (cable+software+device?) for my car?

        • I'm not sure. I have the evoscan tool. Paid about $200 for it I think.
