So if i got a non-3G/4G tablet (galaxy tab) can I still use those watsapp, wechat, kakao etc.? cos i know you need to verify your numbers with them.
Can I Use Chatapps That Require Verification of Your Number on Non-3g/4g Tablets?

Actually you don't even have to do that… From my own experience, just set it up normally and use the number from your phone, then the confirmation msg will go to your phone and you can just type in the code to your tablet. That's how I did it… only problem is, you can only use that number on one device at a time, so if you activated it on a tablet, whatsapp on your other device will no longer updates….
-EDIT-
Actually, now that i think about it… i can't remember how i got whatsapp to install to the tablet in the first place… It detects it as a tablet and didn't install the first time I tried =\
WeChat works fine for me on wifi only devices; they send you a verification to your mobile, just whack that into your tablet & you're off & running! ;)

You need to jailbreak/root for whatsapp to believe you're on mobile data.
I used whatsapp on my galaxy 2014 10.1 non-4g without root/jailbreak/whatever. But it HAS to be tied to a working phone number - and whatsapp can only be linked to 1 device at a time (eg. Cant have the same number used simultaneously on your phone & tablet).
Install Whatsapp on the tablet. Enter in phone number, it says its sending you a text message that will verify it. Obviously a non 3g-4g tablet cant receive this message.
After about 15minutes of attempting this, you will receive an error on your tablet that it cant verify by text message, and youll receive a phone call from whatsapp and the computer voice will give you a code to enter into whatsapp.
Do this, and voila. thats all it takes to get whatsapp working on a non 3g/4g tablet.
Exactly how I did it!
Thanks for the share.
I have just succesfully installed and verified WA on my Nexus 7 2013 Wifi tablet.More or less how the Mrs did it too but she got a free sim from Lebara. Activated the free sim on phone. Use that number to register whatsapp on her tablet. Got rid of free sim card. Voila!
Getting rid of the free SIM leaves you screwed if you ever need to reinstall Whatapps, or phone goes missing etc.
Try telegram. It is like Whatsapp but better in my opinion. I use it from my phone and my wifi samsung note 8 tablet.
unfortunately no one I know uses telegram, unless you force them to install it just to be their friend .-.
With Whatsapp I know you can configure on a 3G device, then copy across all application data from your Android phone to the tablet and it will work.
I'm not sure about other apps though.
