New to Car Insurance (Need Third Party Property Only Cheap Insurance)

Hi there oz bargainers , to begin with I Bought a 2000 Hyundai Elantra 1.8L Auto this week and was wondering if i would be able to get the cheapest Third Party insurance in market. Going through the forums and posts the cheapest i could find was 33 dollars per month from Qbe but seeing many of you guys have it for as low was 16 dollars per month .
My details

Residency Status : Student
Age : 25 years
Previous record : Clean , have had full overseas license since 2008 ( 6 years)

I have checked out budgetdirect , aami , allianz , not sure if i am selecting the right options to lower the monthly expense .

I would like to pay monthly, if there any promo codes or promotions i can use .
I have health cover with allianz but guess that doesn't make a difference.

I'm not an expert but looking around for quotes, all providers quoted me the the same amount for CTP.

Use the NSW Government's Green Slip Calculator to compare prices.

  • Sorry Guys , wasnt the green slip i was after , it was third party insurance i was aiming at .
I have updated the thread and title , need your expert opinions.

    • Tried Just car ?

      • Yup , and tried iselect as well :o

  • Coles Car Insurance

  • I am with Bingle. Their comprehensive insurance price = ( other's third party + a few bucks ). Try their on-line quote before signing on others. Let us know which one you pick, Cheers.

  • i went with westpac vero third party property insurance
    32 dollar / month
    seems sweet :)

  • Cheapest we found was NRMA. Just be sure to go through the calculator for comprehansive also. For some strange reason comprehensive was cheaper for us than for third party alone.
