If you earn your dough staring at a computer screen most of the day, I'd invest.

    • Amen.

    • You'd be better off investing some time learning about diet and nutrition!

Only proper food will give you sustained energy! Have a sensible meal containing quality, low GI complex carbs instead - This crap is full of sugar, that's the magic ingredient, NOT the whizz bang herbal extracts, it blows your BSL through the roof and you're hyped for half an hour or so then you crash!

This energy drink fad is just for kiddies!

      • Nice post

You obviously don't work with some nightmare clients… Energy drinks are only for the mild ones, worse ones are booze, worse ones still - time to grab the razor blades and end it all :-)

        • WTF??? Huh? ROFLMAO!

If you've convinced yourself that this crap can in any way help you deal in a professional way with difficult clients, I'd love to hear the rationale, I'll bet it's a doozy! Probably easy enough though given it appears you've convinced yourself you're the only one in the world with "nightmare clients"! :p

You don't need a can full of sugar mate, or ethanol; you need to harden TF up or get a new job! ;)

@StewBalls: Yep, you're pretty much one of them. Don't read, jump to conclusions, blowing everything WAY out of proportion - whilst making most of it up too. Next I'm guessing you'll try and tell me how to do my work, that seems to be a favourite, while of course paying because you don't actually know how to do it.

            • Didn't say it made anything any more professional
            • Didn't say I was the only person in the world with troublesome clients
            • I run a business, I don't have a job. It wouldn't bother me to waste time if I was getting paid for it. When it wastes time I could spend doing other projects and making money, or kicking back and relaxing, I care.

@noyesmaybeok: Funny, I don't recall doing business with YOU, yet YOU now imply I'm your "nightmare client", you might wanna lay off the lolly water for a while mate, you're getting confused! Let me be clear, you and I do NOT have a business/professional relationship, therefore I AM NOT your client! ;)

FWIW, if you run a business, you DO have a JOB, you work for YOURSELF! I'm sure your accountant, or the ATO, has explained this to you? Now, if your JOB is so stressful that you NEED to resort to SUBSTANCE ABUSE to perform it, then you need out! Frankly, your boss sounds pretty incompetent! Nothing out of proportion here, simple FACT! :p

You're the one who stated that you NEED this as "You obviously don’t work with some nightmare clients", not my story at all champ, YOUR WORDS! Here's how it works in grown-up land rochow, we ALL have nightmare clients, AND colleagues, AND family members, AND acquaintences etc, etc; but you clearly stated "V" or booze (I'm ignoring the obviously facetious razor crack) help you deal with these "nightmare clients" that you have that YOU SAID I don't! You still haven't explained YOUR OWN comment as to HOW "V" allows you to work with the "nightmare clients"(as opposed to the dream ones)??? Nothing out of proportion here either, simple FACT!

Yep, looks like I nailed the diagnosis alright, here's my new prescription - take two spoonfuls of cement - you know the rest….

  • Isn't this product one of the high caffaine contents and warned products, which is making headline in the news?

    http://www.smh.com.au/national/take-highcaffeine-energy-drin…

    • I'm pretty sure it was the bigger cans like "Monster" and "Mother"

As per OP - you can buy an 8 pack of V for like $12 at bigw most of the year from memory.

    • and in other news having too much of anything is usually not good for you.

If the kids in that story had been drinking vodka they likely would be dizzy too. Why not take alcohol off the market. Seriously…read the back and don't drink more than advised.

      • Uh… alcohol IS off the market for kids.

If you believe the media, everything's bad for you these days, from coffee to bacon even Listerine was supposed to give you mouth cancer. I'm sick of it. I say don't believe the hype!

    • +1

In the ACA farce, they made the kids drink 2 full cans of Mother, and then they were 'shocked' to see a minor heart beat anomaly - Australia media is such a bias laugh, I can't take anything they say seriously

      • +1

The back of the can says "drink 1 can max per day"… but we wouldn't want them to follow instructions!!!

        • +1

funny how they never mentioned what smoking a pack of cigarettes or drinking a bottle of vodka will do to you….or the effects of non prescription medicine when large amounts are taken….maybe we'll stop hearing all the fuss if the government makes more money after they decide to tax energy drinks :P

good deal … V's are normally bloody expensive :-/

Woolworths at Menai (sydney) this week had 2x4pack of BOTTLES for $16. i.e. $8 for a 4bottlepack. Usually ~$12 a pack, or $10 when on special.

I don't think we've ever drunk Vs (in australia) at $2/bottle. And my family are huge long time V consumers (8 years at the very least).

  • They have it in South Australia

  • +3

    Don't forget to drink responsibly!

We wouldn't want everyone at work to be awake all at once…

  • I agree, good deal. Couple of people at our school drink it and spazz around to piss off the teachers. Lol

  • was just at a coles store in melbourne and i noticed they had the deal available as well.

  • An interesting point to note - I searched both Coles and Woolworths with "no expired deals" checked and Coles has 6 pages of bargains vs 3 pages of Woolworths bargains. Seems to me that Coles has been coming out with far more bargains recently.

    • Yep, I've noticed that too. They lost a lot of market share to Woolies over the last few years, it's pretty clear they're fighting back…good show, good for us consumers anyway! ;)

  • V is the best.

V is my favorite drink (then coke). I got 10 4pks today to go along with my already existing 6 4 pks. I do drink a few a day so it won't last long.

  • Bought 3 lots of 2 packs @ Coles Hurstville this arvo.

    24 cans of V for $30.

    Happy camper :)

  • You guys should have gone to the UNSW open day…they had free v

    I took 8 cans =D
