Hey guys.

Noticed today gamestop found a pick from Amazon of what the Super smash bros bundle will look like. It includes The game and the new special gamecube controller and adaptor
(http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-100-smash-bros-wii-u-ga…)

Here is link to the first Nintendo Australia direct!!! It's great we finally have our own and are recognised. The direct is about the new 3DS Consoles and more-
I have to say the new 3DS Looks amazing and some really nice upgrades

Now to just wait and see if there will be a supersmash bros bundle, probably considering how well Mariokart bundle moved consoles

  • oh man i thought this deal was pretty average but then didn't realise we'd get the adapter for 4 as well! man if we get it for $100 that would be a steal imo.

But i'm sure it'll be inflated a bit, either way can't wait (tbh not the biggest fan of the controller, prefer the mario/yoshi/etc editions but i'll take it :P)

    • I still love the gamecube controller, it fit so nicely into the hand. Yeah my guess is out price will be $119 or around that but I would expect a special for launch hopefully :)

Super smash will be released on Wii U December 6th Just in time for xmas

  • not sure how to feel about this

“The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U is compatible with Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U specifically – it is not compatible with any other Wii U software. The adapter is also not compatible with Wii and we apologise for any confusion.”

    • Actually that's wrong. Here is the Nintendo info.
This adapter will allow you to connect your GameCube controller to the Nintendo Wii or Wii U. Connect your GameCube controller to your Wii or Wii U console. Compatible with all games supported by the Wii Classic Controller, Wii Classic Controller Pro and Wii U Pro Controller.

No, Astro551 is correct. Nintendo confirmed what he quoted a few hours ago (early morning).

Your link even has the exact same quote from Nintendo in it.

lol oops. I can't see them not allowing compatibility in the future through dlc

        • @TRENT86: All good haha, but yeh it seems like a big opportunity missed. Unless there are serious problems with controller compatibility which is fair enough I guess, they are like 2 gens apart (although they did manage to do it for Smash, maybe it's just too much work to expand on it).

        • @TRENT86: I hope they do, it would be nice (although un-needed) to have greater controller options. Gamepad is comfortable to play with any way on all those games (or Wii mote in relation to Pikmin) so I'm not fussed.

        • @heywes: I have never liked the Wii remotes except for Wii sports. I absolutely love the Wii U Pro controller though

        • @TRENT86: really? fair enough. Wii Mote for pikmin worked rather well, but i feel that it would of been better if you could control pikmin the same way it worked in nintendo land, that would of been awesome!

        • @heywes: Yeah the Wii control can work quite well but with most games it's annoying.
